We hope to plan a FUNdraiser for Ally in the future. This takes a lot of effort and time, so let us know if you are ever interested in helping or doing something small scale. Every bit helps as Tina can rarely work due to Ally’s medical needs and very limited nursing (at this time). She plans to substitute teach whenever possible and we are lucky to have Billy working hard every week to support our family.
In addition, we participate in some fundraisers to raise $ for organizations that help Ally (and our family) and/or are working towards a CURE for SMA. Watch for these fundraising opportunities on facebook or on this blog.
–Center for Courageous Kids (camp that Ally and our family attend in KY almost every year)
–JourneyCare (palliative care program that supports our family dealing with a chronic condition, not covered by insurance)
–Normal Moments (helps with holiday meals, xmas gifts and other ways so we can have more “Normal Moments”)
–Cure SMA Walk and Roll – each year in June
–Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Walk and Roll
–New Horizon Center raffles/fundraisers (for Ally’s former school)
–Coonley School (Ally’s current school)
