I'm the mommy to three wonderful girls (Kristyn 14, Melissa 6 and Allyson 5) and wife to a great husband Billy. My youngest has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1. This is a tough disease, but it is my mission to give her the best life possible, spread awareness, help others family, and maybe help in finding a cure. I was a elementary school teacher for 9 years and I'm now a stay at home mom taking care of my girls the best that I can. I may decided to substitute teach here and there, but my new real passion is Parent Advocacy. I'd REALLY like to teach other families how to stand up for the rights of their children in hospitals and in schools. We have gone through a lot with Ally and I have gotten support/advice from many others. I've learned a lot along the way and would love to help others. I do a little at home sales with Pampered Chef and Discovery Toys. This is kinda a hobby of mine, a way to earn FREE products, and I earn a little extra money.
