MDA Zoo Walk — Ally’s Angels Team Information

One more day till our MDA Zoo Walk. It is Saturday, September 25th at Brookfield Zoo and will be a wonderful day of family and friends coming together in honor of Ally and many others affected. We will have about 60 team members on the Ally’s Angels Team. It is NOT too late to join us and/or make a donation in honor of Ally. Every $1 brings us one step closer to treatment and a cure for SMA and offers families support.

Here is some information if you will be joining us tomorrow...

THANKS SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR BEING A PART OF THE ALLY’S ANGELS TEAM!!!!

1) If you have a zoo membership #, please try to email me with it this morning so that the MDA can pay for less entrance fees and raise more $$.  If you get this later, still email or bring and we will see if it will work.

2) Please try your best to arrive between 7:30 am and 8 am.  We will meet at the top of the tunnel, near the pay booths.  Parking and zoo admission is free.  The walk does not begin till 9 am, but there are lots of pre-walk activities.  I have to turn in all $$ for our team and hand out all t-shirts.  No need for anyone else to go to any of the tables.  You will need to fill out a waiver form before going in the zoo.

3) Please have your MDA donations in an envelope with your name and total (or let me know what you did online).  For each $74 raised, you will get an official MDA walk t-shirt.  This is different than the past, so everyone will not get an MDA shirt unless they have raised $74.  We are happy to have team members in honor of Ally with any donation amount.  I’ll most likely give you this shirt a little later in the morning.

4) I will have our ash gray Ally’s Angels team shirts and have enough for everyone.  If possible, I am asking for a $5 donation to the Angel Allyson Fund NFP (or cash) for each Ally shirt. The companies that sponsored mostly donated directly to the MDA or gave to our last walk in June for FSMA, so I had to pay most of the t-shirt costs myself.  I’d love to continue to have one for every team member, but times are tight, so any donation toward your shirt is greatly appreciated.  This is separate from your MDA donation, but any extra I collect would go towards our team total.  If you’d rather not get an Ally shirt, that is okay too.

5) We will try to take a team photo before the walk begins, so please try to gather together inside.  We have about 60 team members this year, so it should be one AMAZING photo.  I also try to take photos of everyone with Ally, so please remind me if I miss someone.

6) When the walk starts, you may stay close to our team, or walk at your own pace.

7) The walk ends at about 10:30 with some announcements.  You are welcome to stay at the zoo all day long.
